“I’m a fighter.” Ryan concludes season one of “SCREAM with Ryan C. Showers” with six Patreon members. Ryan and the Patreons probe the connection between the “Scream” films and the LGBT community. Each person shares their individual experience as a member of the LGBT and some aspect of “Scream,” including Sidney and Gale as gay icons; finding strength in final girls; Sidney’s trilogy arc of self-acceptance; the queer-coding of each film; and our friends like Hallie in “Scream 2.” The group also discusses characters such as Mindy, Kirby, Billy, Stu, Tara, Amber, and Chad as it relates to LGBT representation.
